Livvy (on the left) struck a great pose for this picture. Maddy hung back just a little.
Here’s Maddy in her car seat. Livvy was zonked out in her seat.
Here’s another shot of Maddy. I used one of my 50mm lenses, my favorite for making portraits of kids. Get in close and wait for the right moment. The film, Freestyle Arista Premium 400, is made for Freestyle by Kodak (it’s really Tri-X).

Great shots, Grandpa! I love the last one, Maddy’s contact with the camera (and you) is engaging. Made me smile to see it.
Thanks Dimple. Made me smile too.
You really dote on those two, and it’s easy to see why. They’re way cute.
P.S. In photos #2 and #3, how did you get the light coming in from under Maddy’s face? It’s a great effect– just like in the movies!
Thank you Steve. I just can’t help myself. As for the light, I think there was just more light lower down at the level of the windows or something.
They are adorable!
Great memories. I was thinking you used a reflector for the lighting for #2/#3, there is a subtle uplight.
I love the second shot, it is so wonderful and candid. All of them are marvelous, but that one; I don’t know that one just struck me.
Wonderful as always.
Oh my gosh..how sweet are they..You are a lucky Grandpa..I hope to be a Grandma one day..Michelle
Livvy is such a ham! She would fit right in will all the pork in my family. Maddy is so cute!
Red.
