I’ve been converting some of my color slide scans to monochrome. This is the second in a continuing series of images from nature I’ve created.
I like the mood here. Once again, I wonder if I discovered the image or did it find me? Logic never seems to enter into my experiments. I play and suddenly I know when things are just right.
I use Picture Window Pro for all my photo editing. I’ve had the program for 5 or 6 years at least and I’m just now discovering better ways to convert from color to monochrome. Now that I’m learning more, I’m able to do things I thought were impossible.
And the best part is that once you internalize the tools, you can let your left brain play with all the buttons and gizmos while your creative self simply does what comes naturally. In other words, when you give your logical side something to play with, he (or she) won’t interfere with your creativity — a perfect partnership.
I hope you enjoy the viewing as much as my dragon and I enjoyed the creating. We are enthralled, excited and enjoying the most creative period of our lives.
Stop by The Monochrome Weekend for more great monochrome photography.
PS — I posted the color version of Hanging Flowers for my December 21 Monday Macro.
