I was searching through my archives the other day looking for a nice color flower macro. I found this shot of white columbine taken ten years ago. The original is a Fuji Velvia color transparency that I scanned into my computer.

Funny thing happened on the way to this post. I ‘lost’ the color and gained a much better photograph in the conversion to monochrome.

Hop aboard the wayback machine for a trip back in time to March, 1981. Erin had just turned seven and Sue had just turned five a few months earlier. I came across this image while flipping through my archives. It’s a scan of an original Kodachrome color slide date stamped Mar ’81.

The photo was taken in our living room when we lived on Reedland Street in Phila. I like the lighting and the mood of this one. I caught the girls unaware.

Megan, our oldest granddaughter, received her Confirmation, one of the three Roman Catholic Sacraments of initiation, a few weeks ago on a beautiful April Saturday. I didn’t get any shots of the ceremony itself because we were too far back in the church.

Mary’s (my niece) prom was held this past Friday evening. Sister Trish had asked if I would take some pictures. I shot a few dozen pics of Mary (doesn’t she look stunning) and Brett, her handsome escort. Here are what I consider the four best photos. Enjoy.
