Several months ago I had a dozen different hard copy photo books made featuring some of my favorite images. In the spirit of sharing and ‘why not’ I created an ebook version containing 14 B&W images selected from my collection of black and white images taken when I was in Vietnam in 1966 and offer this book for download — click here: saigonBW(c) A left click will load the file into your viewer. Right click and select download from the pop up menu to save a copy to your system.
No strings. Feel free to download and enjoy. The book is a pdf file. View with Adobe Reader or your viewer of choice. I would appreciate any feedback. Stop back and leave comments.

Thanks, John!
My Dad was in Saigon from May 1965 – May 1966. I am presently transcribing all the letters he wrote to my mom during this time. I noticed the photo at the top….were you there for the Easter Earthquake? We were. Those Saigon photos were amazing…thankyou for allowing us to download them. May I have permission to put them in our family history book with the letters as my Dad did not take any photos….it is just for family but I would definitely give you the copyright credit.
Whoops, I meant to reply and got distracted it seems. Yes, I was in Alaska for the earthquake. A strange experience when the ground feels like water and everything is hopping up and down and swaying back and forth. One of my friends got permission to travel to Anchorage for Passover. Shelly claimed the earth shook the moment he set foot in the Synagogue. Yeah, right.
You have my permission to use my photos with proper credit for your family album.
Excellent stuff John. Love the Saigon pics. Although digital now -mainly – I used to love shooting b&W and my favourite film was Kodak Tri-Ex 400. I liked it because it was quite easy to be pushed, if the need arose.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you Mark. I still use TX shot at ISO 1250 souped in Diafine. I have a roll in one of my cameras now.
