I got out of the house for an hour or so a couple of weeks ago. Tracy took the twins to the park and I went along for the ride, the sunshine and the photo opportunities. I got a couple of the girls — maybe next week
The shapes of this sliding board grabbed me as I looked through the viewfinder so I snapped this photo. I reduced the size and cropped from 4 x 6 aspect to 4 x 5 aspect, then tweaked the curves, did some local contrast adjustments and sharpened for the final result. I like it.
I really like what you did with the contrast. More than that, I like it monochrome. The colors of those things are so jarring. Glad you looked at it through the view finder.
Monochrome let’s me see the colors better. Hah! I may be a throwback but I am having fun with the so called obsolete film and film slrs.
I enjoy my camera as well. It is hard for me to reconcile the digital images with the depth created by an SLR. Hybrids just do not do it for me either. Do we need throwback T-shirts?
As with many great pieces, what looks so effortless is often the result of a lot of effort. Another great pic to add to your collection.
Thank you Sir!
This playground equipment looks interesting in the monochrome. I wouldn’t have given it more than a glance if it had been in color. This is very nice.
I’m so glad you were able to get some photos and I hope this is an indication that you are feeling a little stronger.
Great B&W composition
I like the range of curves, they are much more visually relaxing, although I’m sure it was anything but relaxing around this equipment!
Oh yes! These modern playgrounds are full of great shapes.
Interessante a ideia do clique, gostei. Um abraço!
Ah getting out is so important. I wish we weren’t heading toward winter.. I do really really like this photo and it is because of you that I have taken an interest in monochrome…not that I can adjust or really play..but had not even considered before your photos…sending healing your way John…..Michelle
