Incredible details in the shadows. Walk softly indeed, I was at a park at lunch today and damn near stepped on a small snapping turtle!
The light is beautiful. I love all the different textures on the forest floor.
Hi John,
I love the poem, it is a fitting caption for your image. I had to read it three times before I saw that the word “on” wasn’t in it–I was reading “Puddles ON the forest floor” and looking for water LOL!
The second shot on my post is the one I mentioned in regard to using sepia and b&w. I think the reduced contrast causes the concrete to float, so to speak. I guess I will have to sometimes edit with some other program than Picassa: I like using it, but it can’t do everything!
I love the way the forest floor looks and you captured the light spilling on it so well.
Amazing that any light reaches that far through the trees.
enlarging the picture really makes all the difference in the world for me…I can see so much more of the detail, textures, and lighting. This is a wonderful shot. It draws you in and keeps you there. What a gorgeous spot.
yes…we must walk softly, and listen closely. Beautiful image and haiku.
A moment so many have been waiting for, well captured here.
I love the dappling of light through the canopy, so many never see and walk on by.
One of my favorite sights, sun stream (or puddle, as you aptly name it) on a forest floor. Walking softly is never a bad idea, but especially here, with a young sapling just peaking its head out of the soil.
Lovely and artistic!
Absolutely beautiful!
